When you fill in the contact form we receive your name, e-mail address, your message, and your telephone number if you choose to give it. We use this only to answer you and, where it leads to one, to prepare an offer. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and our steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and 6(1)(b)).
Our web server records each request: the IP address it came from, the time, the page requested and the browser's identification. We need these to keep the site running and to detect abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the security and availability of the site (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Medilink staff who maintain the site's content have named accounts. We store their e-mail address, name, role and a record of the changes they make. This is staff-only and is not connected to visitors.
This website contains no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking. It does not embed content from social networks, and it loads nothing from any other server — every image, font and document is served from our own. We do not profile visitors, and we do not sell or pass on your data for marketing.
The website runs on a server rented from a hosting provider, which acts as our processor. Mail you send through the contact form reaches our mailbox, which is hosted by Microsoft. Both are bound by contract to process the data only on our instructions. We do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area for any other purpose.
Enquiries are kept for as long as the matter is open and for up to two years afterwards, so that we can pick up the thread if you come back to us. Server logs are kept for up to three months. Where a contract follows, the accounting records that arise from it are kept for the period Latvian law requires.
You may ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it or erase it, ask us to restrict or stop processing it, and ask for it in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time — that does not affect processing already carried out. Write to us at the address above and we will answer within one month.
If you believe we have handled your data wrongly, you may complain to the Data State Inspectorate, Elijas iela 17, Riga, LV-1050, www.dvi.gov.lv.
This site sets no cookies at all when you browse it. The details, and the one exception that applies to signed-in staff, are set out in our cookie policy.
